When Stocksmith fits better
Use a full inventory platform when you need production and order movements recorded as part of daily operations. Stocksmith documents automatically generated movements and an exportable product adjustment history. BatchTrace does not reproduce that system.
When this worksheet is useful
You have the quantities already and want a transparent, separate calculation alongside a physical count. You can also build the same arithmetic in a spreadsheet; BatchTrace supplies the focused layout, validation and export.
Sources and limits
Checked September 12, 2026: Stocksmith product adjustment documentation and report documentation. Competitor descriptions are from their documentation, not independent account testing. No claim is made about their customer outcomes or our market share.
