A better stock check
Before you change a balance, trace the difference.
1. Use the same period and place
Choose one location, a clear opening point and a closing cutoff. Use a consistent unit for each product. Do not mix items still in production with completed units.
2. Keep every movement in one place
Enter actual finished output, fulfilled sales, physical returns and supported losses. If production already appears in your movement totals, do not add it a second time. A refund alone does not mean an item returned to stock.
3. Count before balancing
Use the physical count before any adjustment that forces the ledger to equal that count. Otherwise the balancing entry hides the discrepancy you want to understand.
4. Investigate; don’t guess
Check the individual production record, sale or return for each difference. Matching totals do not prove every event happened. Keep unexplained differences explicit.
Save and restore
Save writes the current worksheet and saved count library only to this browser. Learn how named count copies preserve source context. A downloaded JSON backup can be restored on another browser. Comma CSV files can be mapped into a worksheet after reviewing source meanings. This is not a live vendor integration. Restore only BatchTrace JSON backups you trust.
